How to add emoji and icons in Google Docs
Google Docs and Slides support emoji several ways, and you can drop in crisp SVG/PNG icons as images when you need something more branded than a system emoji.
Quick emoji with @
In Google Docs, type @ and then an emoji name (e.g. @rocket) and pick it from the menu — the fastest method. You can also use Insert → Emoji.
Special characters
Insert → Special characters lets you search a huge set of symbols and emoji by name or draw the shape you're after — great for arrows, math and punctuation beyond the emoji set.
Adding real icons
For consistent, on-brand icons (not system emoji), insert them as images: download an icon as PNG or SVG, then Insert → Image. This keeps the same look regardless of the reader's device.
